ADHD COACHING FOUNDATION TRAINING

Work with ADHD clients with clarity, direction and a framework that is truly your own.

A practical, neuroinformed programme that gives you the framework, the direction and the strategies to work with ADHD clients with real clarity.

ADHD presentations are complex and confusing and none of us were trained to handle them. They can leave you feeling lost, directionless and doubting your own expertise.

We developed a structured, practical programme to support you. It gives you a clear coaching direction, breaks down the ADHD coaching process step by step, and makes a clear distinction between neuroinformed and trauma informed practice.

Working with ADHD is different. It means understanding sensory overwhelm, emotional regulation, executive function challenges and masking, and helping your client build a lifestyle that genuinely works for their brain.

What you will gain:

  • Understanding your client's ADHD processes, their everyday struggles and their unique nervous system responses.

  • A clear coaching direction so you always know what to ask and where to go next in every session.

  • Practical tools your clients can take away and apply with the strategies to embed lasting change.

This is a complete training package. Watch the videos, work through the handouts and take away a strategy sheet after each module.

If you prefer to learn live, we run the sessions twice a year. The next dates are below.

Who this is for

  • You are already working with ADHD clients and something in your current approach feels like it is not quite fitting, you can see what is happening but your tools do not fully reach it

  • You want to build a genuine ADHD coaching specialism but are not sure where to start or what a properly neuroinformed approach actually looks like in practice

  • You have completed ADHD awareness training and know the theory but you leave sessions still uncertain about what to actually do goes here

  • You have quietly wondered whether ADHD coaching could become the heart of your practice, focused, meaningful, and sustainable

Practical tools and approaches you can apply straight away, built on a strong neuroinformed foundation.

By the end of Foundations of ADHD Coaching you will have:

✓     A clear, neuroinformed framework, the ADHD Coaching Pyramid Method™, for understanding what is actually happening for your ADHD clients in the room

✓     Practical tools, handouts, and session structures you can take directly into client work from session one

✓     Confidence in the distinction between ADHD coaching and therapy, when to coach, when to refer, and how to hold that boundary clearly

✓     A working understanding of inattentive, hyperactive, and combined ADHD presentations and how to adapt your approach for each

✓     Tools for shame, masking, procrastination, emotional dysregulation, and sensory overwhelm, the areas most practitioners are underprepared for

✓     A foundation you can build a real ADHD coaching specialism around, focused, meaningful, and sustainable

This is not just knowledge. It is clinical confidence, knowing what to do, why you are doing it, and what to do next.

THE PROGRAMME

10 sessions. 10 topics. Every one built for practice, not just theory.

Five live sessions of two hours each. Every session recorded. Dedicated Q&A in every session so the learning stays grounded in real client work.

  • 1. Understanding ADHD

A strong foundation in what ADHD is, how it affects daily life, and why it is so frequently misunderstood, including the critical distinction between ADHD coaching and psychotherapy or counselling, and why that boundary matters clinically.

  • 2. Different ADHD Presentations

Inattentive, hyperactive, impulsive, and combined profiles and the enormous diversity within each. Builds the capacity to meet each client as an individual rather than a type, and to adapt the approach accordingly.

  • 3. The ADHD Brain

Attention regulation, motivation architecture, executive function, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Makes sense of patterns routinely misread as laziness, poor character, or lack of effort.

  • 4. Recognising ADHD Patterns in Clients

How ADHD shows up in coaching through procrastination, inconsistency, overwhelm, emotional intensity, and time blindness. Learn to notice what is happening underneath the surface and not mistake neurology for personality.

  • 5. Working Pre- and Post-Diagnosis

Identity, relief, grief, and self-understanding, supporting clients who are exploring ADHD, newly diagnosed, or reflecting on a missed diagnosis later in life.

  • 6. Contracting and Structuring ADHD Coaching

Clear contracting, realistic goals, pacing, accountability, and how to adapt the coaching process to neurodivergent needs without losing structure.

  • 7. Beliefs, Shame and Emotional Regulation

The emotional world of ADHD, shame, rejection sensitivity, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs built from years of not understanding why everything feels harder than it should.

  • 8. Sensory Regulation and Overwhelm

How sensory load and nervous system overwhelm affect ADHD clients. Introduces the Sensory Economy Chart framework for understanding and managing sensory impact in coaching.

  • 9. Procrastination, Motivation and Daily Life Challenges

Uses the Procrastination Hexagon framework to understand what is actually underneath avoidance and how to coach it practically and sustainably.

  • 10. Masking, Authenticity and Sustainable Change

The exhaustion of performing neurotypicality. Supports coaches to help clients reduce burnout, build self-acceptance, and create a life that fits their brain honestly and effectively.
